L’Autre Vie – Part time work

Are you a “make people smile” kind of person, and interested in part-time work at our top rated boutique guesthouse in the Entre Deux Mers?

Located between La Reole, Monsegur and Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, we’re one of the region’s top rated guesthouses, designed in the style of a chic boutique hotel, but with the relaxed, personal feel and approach of a B&B.  Run by two Australians, we’re looking for a native/excellent English speaker to help make our guests’ experience here a highlight of their travels.  Typically tasks will include chatting to our English speaking guests and helping with tips and insights on things to see and do, lending a hand to set up and clear breakfast, an occasional need to assist in minor housework in managing room changes (we have dedicated cleaners for the bulk of it), and taking a moment to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee along with a fresh pastry to keep you going.  Previous experience would be a bonus, but is not a prerequisite.

We’re a relaxed couple and we all have fun, but equally, this is an important role that will be representing our business, so we’re looking for someone with initiative, a good work ethic, and outgoing personality, that likes to interact with people, and is reliable.  Given our location, you’ll need your own transport, and a modest ability to speak French would also be viewed favourably.

Our greatest need is in the morning, from 8am to noon, anywhere from 3-6 days per week, with an immediate start and finishing around mid-October, but we have some flexibility for the right candidate in terms of hours, days or weeks off.

We’re a growing business, so there is also scope to progress if you’re seeking a role with more hours or responsibilities, such as managing our bookings, check-ins, social media, and event planning.
