The xx are an indie rock group from London who have intrigued and wowed critics since their first release in 2009.
The members first met as students at the reputable Elliott School in Putney, and have remained together since (bar original guitarist/keyboardist leaving in late ’09). Their debut album, xx, was met with astounding critical praise and ranked in the top ten in the Rolling Stone and NME “best of the year”. In 2010 they also took home the Barclaycard Mercury Prize. Not too bad for a group’s first release!
So now they are back with their new creation, “Coexist”, which came out in September. The group is currently on the road touring to support their latest effort and we’re fortunate to have them make their way to Bordeaux.
