Bordeaux expats recently caught up with Wine Cellar & Co. to find out about their highly recommended wine tours.

The concept –

Wine experts and sommeliers Malgosia and Eric will take you on an unforgettable adventure around the world’s most famous wine region. They offer a range of private bespoke tours of Bordeaux’s most exclusive chateaux and vineyards, including Château Petrus, Pessac-Léognan, St.Emilion and “La Maison Lillet” in Podensac. The tours can be fully customized, are competitively priced and will give you a professional’s insight into the world wine capital.

Their story –
It all started in New York City where two passionate long-distance runners met at one of the Big Apple’s races (and they have been running together ever since).
Eric Delcros is a long-time French wine professional. After travelling around the world, he eventually “landed” in New York where he stayed for eight years. Malgorzata Balaban-Delcros is a Polish law graduate (later converting to sommelier) who was seeking new life experiences and challenges – she has ended up living in her dream country.
At the end of 2010, the couple decided to move back to the old continent. They chose Bordeaux – the world wine capital, where they opened a wine boutique in the city center in 2013. Their wine selection received huge recognition and appreciation among wine lovers, both amateur and connoisseur – the reviews speak for themselves.
They also provided wine tastings combined with the sampling of local products and specialties (pâtés, cheeses, chocolates), all highly popular with their local and international customers.
In 2015 Malgosia and Eric, decided to cater for the explosion in Bordeaux’s wine tourism by organizing private wine tours.
Today, their focus is on developing their wine tours, which are available 365 days a year – they aim to provide the highest possible level of service for their clients – truly bespoke and exclusive professional wine tours guided by experienced wine professionals.

The tours –

The tours can all be customized and feature visits to some of world’s most reputed chateaux – all of which can be fully tailored to meet individual or group requirements.

Their private half-day wine tour (4-5hrs) to Saint Emilion includes:
The famous Château Petrus site (discovering the vineyard, the château and taking photos)
Visit to St.Emilion (a tour of the village streets including a macaroon and wine tasting) –
Visits to two châteaux including wine tasting, cellar/vineyard discovery

Their private full-day trip (about 9 hrs) includes:
Discovery tour of the right and the left banks of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers
The famous Château Petrus site
Visit to St. Emilion (a tour of the village streets including a macaroon and wine tasting)
Visits to two châteaux (St.Emilion) including wine tasting, cellar/vineyard discovery
Visit to a Pessac-Léognan/Graves appellation château including wine tasting, cellar/vineyard discovery
“La Maison Lillet” in Podensac
Visit to the site of one of the famous châteaux in Pessac-Léognan

Their next project will be organizing private wine tastings and homemade meals for small groups – prepared and guided by the couple of course..
